On my galaxy s7 ,deleted emails reappear from as far back as 2012

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the stock Email app? Which email provider are you using? If you're using the POP3 server, see if you can change to the IMAP server. Read more about the difference here: IMAP vs POP3

If you can tell me, like B. Diddy asked, what client and what provider you're using, I can probably help you troubleshoot it. E-mail is one of my stronger suits.
