On my Go Tab GTD7, why does it zoom when scrolling to next page of pdf?

Re: Gotab GTD7 zooms when scrolling to next page of pdf

Device ID and call info are probably the permissions needed to suspend the app so a user can take a phone call.

I think people should be able to disable permissions.
Remember that permissions can be pretty broad--for example, flashlight apps need Camera permission. Does that mean it's going to take pictures without your knowledge?
Who knows. Could the app be programmed to do that and send them to a server . Someone reading a pdf could make a note of a phone number and minimise the pdf and make the call.
One app i tired had access to photos files as permissions etc but installed had full network access downloaded stuff etc. went off my tablet pretty quick

I updated adobe reader and it does not seem to happen now. Thanks. When iopen adobe reader it shows recents. I have to go to documents to see all my books. How can I get it to open at documents?

Sorry if this posts twice sometime i get a message that my writing cannot be posted because of not having some token?

If you had the option to disable permissions, then there'd be a good chance the app would stop functioning normally. For major app developers like Adobe, it'd be very unlikely for the permissions to be abused.

I don't use Adobe Reader routinely, so I don't know if there's a way to open directly to the Documents screen.

in terms of abuse i did not mean adobe but smaller developers like the one i tried which had listed permissions different to the permissions it had

Yes, that's always a bit of a concern. I usually go by how many downloads it has, and what the reviews say.

Internal Storage is called "sdcard0" by the system. Is that what you're seeing?

If they were preinstalled, then the only way you can delete them is to root the tablet. If you don't want to root the tablet, you should be able to Disable those apps, which prevents them from opening. They still occupy storage space, but they won't take up active system RAM. To disable an app, go to Settings>Apps>All, select the app, and tap Disable.

OK thanks .There is no disable option for facebook or twitter. Only uninstall and they keep coming back

I do not think fb should have all those permissions given i do not even want it. I do not like zuckerberg and his need to own everyones material on his 'free' site

I will look into rooting it

Is the option to Uninstall or Uninstall Updates? A preinstalled app can still be updated, and before you can disable it, you may have to uninstall updates first.

The option is to uninstall the app not the updates. I do but a couple days later it is listed in apps again

Strange behavior. I wonder if it's something the Go Tablet specifically does.

No, that's not the case on Android devices unless the OEM has done something specific to force the reinstall - which is bizarre.

If facebook and twitter apps are never used do they still send info back about surfing etc or is it just facebook/twitter stuff they track

If you never logged into them, I don't think they can gather information.
