On my LG G3, why is Facebook crashing?

LG G3 on AT&T Facebook crashing

I downloaded an OTA update to my current 4.4.2 and now my Facebook app will not stay open more than 5-10 seconds! Help!! I run my business via FB and really need this app.

Uninstall the Facebook app. Restart the phone. Install the Facebook app from the Play Store (not from a backup). See if that helps. (You should really plan on running your business from a laptop or desktop - the Facebook Android app isn't the most well-written app I've ever seen [he says, trying not to be too impolite].)

The app is preinstalled so it won't let me uninstall it, any suggestions?
