On my Nexus 6 OTA 5.1, how do I send the package I want to apply to the device with ADB sideload?

Nexus 6 OTA 5.1 update

Ive unlocked bootloader and have image for 5.1 zip downloaded, im stuck on how to send the package i want to apply ot the device with "adb sideload <filename>

please help
