On phone call, screen goes dark, stays dark.

On two Nexus 6, running beta nougat, while on phone call, ? Proximity sensor turns off screen? But when call is over and phone comes away from face, screen stays dark. Eventually, screen comes back on. Any thoughts on this?

Edit 1; Removed old glass screen protectors on both Nexus 6's/Nougat Beta, with new the don't cover the sensors along top to see if that helps.

I experienced this problem one time also. A reboot solved it for me and it hasn't happened since. I'm running an AOSP Nougat ROM.
