On screen navigation bar does not hide.

I have an HTC Desire 816 and just recently I noticed that the onscreen navigation bar dosent ever hide when it used to. I'm not exactly sure when it did/didnt hide before but im fairly sure that when I am looking through all of my apps that it wasnt there. Is there a way to fix this?

Can you be a bit more specific? The only times I've noticed that my navigation bar goes away is during games and full screen videos. Other than that it's technically supposed to stick around. Without it you can't... well..., navigate.

There are apps in the Play store that allow you to hide the navigation bar if you just want the extra screen real estate like when web browsing. One I've used is All in One Gestures. I'm not promoting or recommending it. I've just used it before.
