On the fence about GummyCharged 2.0

One of the nice things about Samsung is that it seems almost impossible to hard brick (what you and I did was called a soft brick, more or less.). The biggest thing is dont panic. If you can get to DL mode or even recovery, there is a good chance to get things back to normal some-which-way.

I got them to replace it with a combo of BS and Best Buy Stupidity. They knew that I was in a soft brick, but didnt know how to get me out of it through any of their standard methods. Since I had only had the phone for a few hours so they didn't flinch at giving a new one on the spot.

No I havent given it a try yet. If it would have been out when I was on the leak GB, they I would have at least flashed it to take a gander.

I think that you need to go to the leaked GB first then onto GCGB. Not sure though, so I would read into it before moving on.

Anytime on the links. I flip websites like and ADD person flips channels so I usually read all the stuff out there and can find links pretty quick

Sounds like a bad flash. I havent seen any of that. I would suggest you redownload the file and flash it again.

Did you wipe all the data and caches? were you coming from 1.91?

Was on Gummy 2.0 for a little over a week and constant freezes and reboots. Flashed the new TW4 Gingerbread leak and have had nothing but smooth sailing for the last week. Still waiting on MIUI to come to my Charge!

As for gummycharged2.0 issues, I have not had any issues, besides a battery charging error, that when restarted, went away. I would, like piizza said, wipe everything, then reflash it. Or go back to stock and try it from scratch again.

Wiped, yes, I always do... Now that I recall I was also getting constant errors at random about my battery not being supported. I am not coming from 1.91 no... Going to try the EP1W and see how it fairs...

sounds like you are running a non-OEM battery, but that wouldnt affect the flash. You have to go to 1.91 then up to the 2.0 so I am guessing that is your problem. I am not discouraging you from going to the GB leak, but reminding you that if you choose to go backwards, you have to go back to the ED2 and do the OTA's to get where you want to go. the GB leaks are VERY nice

I am using the stock battery (OEM), I went back to ED2 OTA'd then I booted the GBE 2.0... so far no issues.

wow that is weird that you are getting the message with a stock battery. I think you will like the GB leaks.

Maybe I am remembering wrong, which is entirely possible, but I thought I had read that you had to go to 1.91 before 2.0 for some of the base code changes.

Hmm~ I opened google maps and it asked me to verify my google account (GummyCharged GBE2.0 RC1.5) but before I could do so it opened 3 instances(windows) of the verification... then proceeded to do so after I verified... I then soft rebooted and it no longer gave me the issue... Just thought it was odd. Another thing that happened was I randomly lost service in a high service area... call dropped my brother was right next to me and getting full bars... I soft rebooted then it did it again...:-\
