On-the-go charger on WOOT. Is it worth getting?

I have to admit, that I don't really do much on-the-go charging. I charge at home. I have a charger at work. I have a charger in the car. I was considering getting something like this for on-the-go charging.

Then I saw this on WOOT. I did see a deal of the day that had devices like these for $14.95 for today only, but I can't remember where I saw the deal.

I would just be interested in having something for emergency purposes. The item on WOOT, I could keep in a pocket while out for the day. I would likely be using it for charging my Razr and not my Nexus 7, but of course if I needed to cap off the Nexus 7 I would want to do that.

If the WOOT thing is $20 and the RAVPower is $40, which would be the better item to own for the long run?

If you have suggestions other than the items above, please feel free to throw that in the hat too!

Thank you :)

According to the K3 site that holds only 2200mAh. It's $20 on Woot and about $40 on the actual site. I wouldn't recommend getting this when you can get this instead: Amazon.com: Anker? Astro3 10000mAh Multi-voltage (USB output: 5V, 2A; DC output: 9V / 12V, 2A) External Battery Pack ( Dual USB Output plus DC Output ) for Samsung Tablets, Netbook, Digital Cameras, DV Recorders, PS Vita, Nexus 7, NDS, NDSL, GoPro; i

It has 4.5 times more mAh than those. and it's $40. Not even if you buy two of those k3 it will come close to that one.

In the LONG run, it could help you a LOT if you get the 10000mAh. And it's very useful if you're going out on a trip or something.

Thank you.

I'm going to do some additional research. I may want to get something like the Astro3 (or maybe invest in something with bigger capacity). This has me thinking of making sure that I have something for backup. During "Superstorm Sandy" we didn't have many problems, but I have family in NJ and NY that were without power for 5 (or more!) days. Something like the Astro3 could come in handy.

I have the Anker 6600mAh one which cost me $20 about a year back. Worth every penny and it seems to be very reliable and robust too.

Yeah in times like that, it could potentially be a life saver. So it's good to invest in a charger like that. Oh and probably a generator too!
