Simple question....if Verizon uses vodafone as their global carrier..is it possible to get one of the vodafone chips inside a Verizon GSM phone swap it into the desire HD and use it under Verizon's network?

No because verizon is cdma so the modem/radio and cpu would have to change now that's not saying verizon can't get a phone that looks like this

Thx man im just dissapointed with the droid x has too many problems im on my 3rd replacement cause they keep rebooting problem won't go away im not trusting motorola as my next android device ill just get an htc phone instewaa hoping I could get the hd since my phone prior to the x was a winmo global phone with vodafone chip but if it doesn't work then its cool

Think HTC Droid Incredible HD. Rumors are Nov.23.Looks like just the phone you(and me) are waiting for.

I am considering returning my DX I got a week ago and waiting things out to get this phone. If it doesn't come to pass I can always see what else hits the market on Verizon. The DX is solid, but I like what I see from HTC.
