Once in a while, my P6P doesn't wake when I pick it up, requires power button

Sometimes, when I take my Pixel 6 Pro out of my pocket or I pick it up from a table after sitting a long time, the screen does not wake up on its own - black. Tapping the screen does nothing. I have to press the power button and then it wakes up to accept my fingerprint.

I have AOD turned on. Not using smart lock. Lift to wake is on. Tap to check phone is on.

It's only a 1-2 times a day. Usually works as expected.

Is this just one of the 6's cute little idiosyncrasies?

Thanks!

I've seen that on my 6 Pro, but I've also seen it on my Galaxy A32 5G, so I don't think it's exclusively a Pixel 6 issue.

I've seen the same thing occasionally (not very often) on my Pixel 6.

This happens to me often when I take the phone out of my pocket. If I'm not mistaken, this is a known bug that is supposed to be addressed in the December/January update

Both my pixels have done that... one on Android 9/10, the other on 11/12. I agree that it's an Android thing ;)
