I was checking out the phones at Walmart today and saw this guy:

It got me thinking. If OTA TV signals can be amplified and boosted, why not cellular signals? They are both essentially radio signals, just different frequencies. I currently live in a building where my signal is absolutely awful. If there was a discrete device that could be plugged in and boost signals, something like a hub, for around $20 I would most DEFINITELY buy it.

Any of you guys ever take EE classes? I want to build something lol

They exist - do not knowif they do on Sprint but I used to have one for VZW. They are usually called network extenders
