I really dont see the water proof feature as being that much use. Who uses their phone under water for god sake?? Its one of those features that whilst clever, is completely pointless.

No one uses their phone under water. People might like to keep their phone out if they're outside and it starts to drizzle though.

Never ride a motorcycle huh? This is one feature I really would like. If I'm caught in the rain and my phone is in my front pocket, it won't get ruined.

though to me those arent really 'surprise features'. They are kind of expected. To me what would be surprising is a finger print scanner, though I doubt it. It seems every company this go around made 'gimmicks' with their camera. Though I havent tried the camera on G3, I hope it isnt gimmicky like the HTC one's. And dont mistake this for a bash at LG and HTC, I applaud their effort for trying to innovate but I just want to see innovation in different areas from each company instead of everyone innovating in the same area
