So I had an iPhone for the 2 years prior to my switch to Android. It was cool and I won't deny that while Apple was far from first, they really did advance the popularization of smart phones. Now that I've had an Android for a while, I've noticed something very distinct about the Android app market compared to the Apple app store:

Android is *filled* with geek apps! I have Android VNC to log into my other computers from my phone, although the iPhone does have VNC clients as well. I have CIFS Manager to easily mount my Samba network shares. I thought it couldn't get any cooler than that. I recently found a Wake On Lan app that lets me wake up my computers... from my phone.

I don't need to get out of bed anymore! Last night, I came across a file I couldn't open on my phone, so I woke up my desktop computer, logged into it through VNC, opened the file and saved it out as a different format, mounted the network share on my phone, copied the file over, then shut down my computer. All with my phone, all while in bed.

Yea, I'm a geek!! And that's why I'll never buy another iPhone! :p
