One UI 4.1.1

One UI 4.1.1 looks very interesting and intuitive on ZF4. Hopefully we will receive it next month along with security patch on ZF3. Am big on multitasking and hope it makes a real difference.

Got the update yesterday.

A very good update. The ui is much smoother and faster. Battery life seems to improve a bit. Best of all is the Taskbar. Believe there are a few other nice add on such as having a menu strip which can split screen (it is more convenient than the 2 fingers side swipe.

Can you customize which apps are on the taskbar, I mean on the left hand side?

I know that the right hand side is whatever is in most recent apps.

I've tried drag & drop, which just gives me a multi window, I've tried long pressing, hoping for a "remove" option, etc etc.

I don't like what's on the bar by default.

I've tried Google searching, but no answer.

What you have in the very bottom row on your home page is what will be on the left side of the tasker. Yes you can customize it by putting what you want in bottom row on home page

Mine appears to be pretty janky. Even when I switch to OneUI from Nova, (because I know it only seems to work with the default launcher), sometimes it's not even there, sometimes it is. Yes, I know an app must be active to show it, but sometimes it simply doesn't display. I'll reboot and sometimes it fixes it, sometimes not.

When it's not there I can't access my other apps. Can't swipe up, down, sideways, or any way to get my app drawer to show.

So far it's simply not worth the hassle of leaving Nova. Especially since I can do this with Nova, (an 8 x 9 grid, and max on OneUI is 6 x 5), and I really did want to give OneUI a chance.

I've had that issue of not showing up at times also. I did a restart and it works now.

Thank you, yes, I should have mentioned that.

I do a reboot and it comes back.

I guess I'm mostly having issues, (meaning preference), not being able to have as much on the screen as I can with Nova, (in the screenshot above).

I've had that setup for... Oh geez... I can't remember how long to be honest.

I really want to try OneUI, but can never seem to get a setup that I like. If they'd allow up to 10 x 10 at least, then I could. I just can't find a setup that I like with either my Fold 3 or Tab s8 ultra. {shrug}

Ah well, at least now I know how to customize the left side of the taskbar, lol.
