One UI GPS question

I just updated to the new One UI on my note 9 and I noticed that the options under location no longer gives the option to change from battery saving with WiFi to high accuracy. It almost seems as if gps is on all of the time now and the only option I now have is to either improve accuracy with WiFi and Bluetooth or turn off location completely? If this is the case I could imagine battery life really dropping faster than usual unless I turn my location off completely. It actually reminds me a lot of how an iPhone handles location options.

Pie is different then Oreo now it has adaptive battery and other strategies to optimize battery life ,so shouldn't be too concerned.

So will the GPS only engage when it's needed for an app that request locations? It's an adjustment for me. I've been so used to having to monitor the gps button on all of the other android phones I've owned over the years.

Yeah pretty much , like I mentioned earlier adaptive battery learns your usage kinda like hibernate others until called upon or put unused ones asleep.
