Android Central Question

Samsung J3 2017 came up with a message ONE UI HOME has stopped working. What can I do to get my phone working again. I saw someone else with the problem but there's was a J7 -it said go go apps, find the app, clear the cache. But I can't see how to fo this on the J3

If you Clear Data, you'll have to set your homescreens up again (just so that it doesn't surprise you). You might want to try just Clear Cache first to see if that helps. If it doesn't, then proceed to Clear Data.

Clear system cache on boot menu too.
This has saved my assets more than once.

Isn’t this just a way of saying that the phone doesn’t work? “One UI Home has stopped”? What is the average user supposed to do?

Nah, it just means the launcher app is glitching. Could be some wonky bit of data stuck in its cache or something.

Yeah, no so bad; it's not like the kernel is crashing.
I've seen it happen once or twice on my Note 10+.
Happen when playing with Nova Launcher or such...
Cleared the cache of the app, and system cache; fixed.
If you're using a package disabler; review those apks that are disabled! Double check your One IU settings.

Last resort clear One UI data; doing that will cause you to reconfigure a bunch of things... try to avoid it.
