One Vs GS4

I agree with the comparison mostly. The fact that build quality was a tie seems a bit odd. Also Ive realized benchmarks now dont matter because there was lag in the S4's video. Doesn't seem as if benchmarks mean anything. Also, their low light camera comparison seems a bit odd. All of the One pics look better.

Sigh. Here we go again.

The S4 you saw had prerelease software.

Benchmarks mean nothing.

Build quality a tie? Please. That's lazy. They're very different, but both good.

I like most people with an HTC One have fallen in love with it big time. I really cannot understand how Samsung have priced the S4 so high, it's rediculous how expensive it is. The photos taken with my One are exceptional as well as the speaker quality and with power saving mode on, the battery will last 48 hours of normal use. Side by side, the advantages of the One vastly outweigh the S4 and reading reviews and 'vs' on other websites I really cannot understand how the S4 comes even close to the One. They always mention the battery and SD card which which isn't an issue. The only thing that I would change about the One would be the addition of a home button or a dedicated camera button as I am a little concerned about wearing out the power button. Apart from that it is the perfect phone and anyone that disagrees either hasn't used one or is a Sammy fanboy.

Oh are those are our only options for our preferences and opinions. Damn I thought I had more personal freedom than that.

My last two phones (Desire and S2) both had replaceable batteries but I never needed to replace them. They both had micro sd slots and the S2 had 16gb on board storage as well as a 16gb card which even with my music, apps and a few movies I never got close to filling.

So far the battery on my One has proved to be comparable to my S2 and once it has been through the charging cycle a few more times it should improve. Obviously it depends how you use it but a normal days use for me is not an issue. I have also noticed that it recharges quite quickly.

Very few people have been lucky enough to get hands on with an S4 yet and I would never judge a phone I had not handled, but there is no reason to suspect that it is going to be that different from the S3. I was never competely sold on the One until I was able to try it for myself and it was the actual handling of the phone that sealed the deal for me.

Touchwiz is so bloated, any kind of speed advantage the S4 might have is killed by that. I've had the One for 3 days now and it has hands down the most fluid UI I've ever seen in a phone.

It depends what you have to compare it to but Sense is no lightweight either. I have always dumped TouchWiz (S2, S3 and Galaxy Tab) in favor of Nova because it is more responsive, not to mention better looking. Sense 5 on the One does run very nicely but you have to bear in mind that this is a very powerful handset and its the raw cpu/ram speed that gives the fluidity rather than clever programming.

Sense is a better design than Touch Wiz, but that is subjective personal opinion.

I'm not disagreeing with you but FYI if you check out the evo forum there's guys on there running sense 5 and they only have one gig of ram and older hardware. So far they're saying it's much better than 4+.

Sense 5 is also lighter on the hardware.
