One X on RadioShack.com for $$49!!!

I got att to price match to 49.99 for two lines on my account

How did you manage this? I called 4 times and they won't match other site/stores. They suggest that I return it and get one from the other locations.

Me: Does AT&T charge a restocking fee
AT&T: No and directs me to the return policy on their site
Me: On the policy, it states a $35 restocking fee
AT&T: Sorry, yes we charge. Anything else I can help you with
Me: (hung up)

Re: Making money by switching to HTC One X!

Hi All,
I am new here, but want to thank all of you for the information on the HTC One X. With the information provided, it looks like I will get the HTC One X for free and also receive about $18 in return! My current phone is a BB Bold on ATT and I was looking to switch. First I read about the One X here and other websites. I visited Radio Shack and they told me about the $149 pre-order price and said they also would buy my old phone for $67. Therefore the net price would be $82. Reading these forums I learned about an even lower price of $49 if the upgrade was to the primary line. My eligible upgrade was to my family plan's secondary line. So I called ATT to get the primary line switch to the eligible number. I tell the rep why I want to make the change. The rep said no problem, but wanted to charge me to "pro-rate" the line changes. She was not making any sense to me, but kept telling me that I would see some additional one time billing charges. I got frustrated with her explanation of the additional charges and told her to forget about it. She offered to have me speak to her supervisor so I could better understand the additional charges. I tell the supervisor why I am trying to change my primary line designation and the price break on the HTC one X for the primary line. After we talk, she tells me it is a hassle in the billing cycles to change the primary line designation. She said if I was only doing this change to save a $100 on the phone, she would just give me a billing credit of $100 and not change any of the number designation on our family plan. So in the end, I am getting paid $18 to change from my old BB to the new HTC. Now just have to learn how to use touch keyboard...

so i went in earlier this week to a radioshack store and pre-ordered the One X (by basically buying a $50 gift card to "hold," it as the rep said) then i saw this thread and made a rapid fire call to the store and talked to the guy (very nice and helpful guy by the way) he basically said that if the deal stands next monday when they get the phone then ill get it at that price, but raioshack does have a clause that states basically that they make mistakes sometimes. on top of that i have a iphone 4 and an iphone 3G to sell back banking me about $100 (due to my iphone 4's screen being busted) making this phone more than free!!!!!! AWESOME

p.s. i did have to call up AT&T to make my line the primary line on my family account, crossing my fingers that this works.:)

Any way to keep your current Family Plan rate (voice and data) while upgrading through Radio Shack online? Or can you call it in?

I was able to keep my same plan, I will have to call AT&T before i activate to make sure they grandfather my unlimited data plan since it was not a choice in the upgrade process. I spoke with AT&T to make sure I could keep it and they said yes, I had this same issue when I upgraded my Aria to the Inspire.

Was anyone who placed an order through RadioShack Wireless able to keep an existing unlimited data plan?

When I placed my order the guy on the phone said I would be keeping it, but when I checked my order receipt it showed that I had been placed into the 3GB/month plan. So I contacted customer service and was told because they are a 3rd party vendor, I can't keep my unlimited plan ordering through them.

Also wondering if anyone has had theirs shipped ahead of the May 6th release date?

I called AT&T beforehand and had my account noted that I had an unlimited plan. Everyone's advice has said to call AT&T to activate it when you get it, to get unlimted data added.

Just called amazon wireless. Got the price match. Was told it will be applied after the phone ships...did others have the same experience?
