I got my One X just yesterday (AT&T), and I absolutely love it. I haven't rooted it just yet, but that's not why I'm here. I have a little problem with the onscreen menu or what triggers it. One of the first things I did was load up my own app. To my surprise the onscreen menu button popped up even though my app(s) are all set to target API of 11 with the action bar and all that jazz.
My problem isn't just the unnecessary lost screen real estate, but the menu in the action bar also shows up giving me redundant menus. I have thoroughly tested both of these apps on my Xoom before without the ICS legacy menu button showing its ugly head.
How do I make the legacy menu go away? Do I need to set the target sdk level up to 15? Even Google Reader shows the legacy menu button.
