OnePlus 3 os deleted whenever i update

Whenever I get a notification for an update and I click the update button it tries to download then just while it's updating my phone, it just opens up TWRP and keeps doing that and I need to factory reset my device and then download the is on my computer and transfer it to my phone. This is very annoying does anyone know a fix?

Welcome to the forums. So you have TWRP on the device but the stock ROM? If so, that is probably why the update is failing. It's being blocked by the custom recovery. You should be able to either flash a custom ROM, or reflash the stock recovery and proceed with the update.
