Just a heads up for those on Verizon planning to use the unlocked 8 Pro from OnePlus or Amazon. Looks like currently Verizon is unable to add it as a CDMA less device. This means you won't be able to receive text messages but everything else will work including data, making/receiving calls and text.
This is Verizon certified but may not get enabled until it's officially released on 29th and probably few days after that. So if this is your only phone and plan to use on Verizon then wait for buying until Verizon can add this as CDMA less device to their system. Not that you can buy until 29th anyways but just a warning in case they haven't figured this out by then.
And here we go..
OnePlus finally issued statement about OnePlus 8 Pro Verizon compatibility.
The full statement from OnePlus about the issue is as follows: "Our OnePlus 8 series open market phones in North America will not be compatible with Verizon until June at the latest. The OnePlus 8 purchased through Verizon will be certified immediately."
Android police put up an article about thisWow! I did not expect that. I wonder if that is by design.
Yeah your right been quietDamn pin drop silence in this thread. Is it because of there is no new separate forum that people are finding it hard to discover or just not that many people buying the OnePlus 8 series? I understand there won't be Samsung launch kind of popularity but have seen OnePlus forums pretty chatty before.
Anyway looks like they are already sold out in stock for the launch day today in US. Official Amazon US listing says they will have in stock on May 16. FYI for those looking.

The admin haven't created a dedicated forum for the 8 series yet. There are different threads running in Rumoured or in the 7 series sub-forums.Why hasn't this moved to the One Plus forums?
I'm considering the OnePlus 8 on Verizon. Killer deal with trade in of my current phone (LG V30) would make my cost $100. (This is with porting in a number on new line and upgraded unlimited data plan) But not sure about the lack of expandable memory. And I'm really tempted by the dual screen on the V60. Give me your opinion on why I should like this phone over the V60. Not familiar at all with Oxygen OS. Would it have better compatibility with my Samsung Galaxy active Smartwatch? TIA!
The only thing I'd want from OnePlus is a compact sized phone.
S10e + Oxygen OS = Epic
Isn't the OnePlus 8 Pro $999 ?Finally back in stock. Ordered the oneplus 8 Pro today. Black was the only color available so that's OK. I wanted the blue. I'm a long time note user but Samsung is going crazy with these prices. Not sure I'm upgrading my note 10 plus when the 20 comes out.

Both the glacier green and blue versions are in stock on official Amazon listing with black in stock on May 15th. So you can look at buying from Amazon who has better customer service and easier to return/replace if needed IMO than buying direct from OnePlus.Showing sold out again today. Either they aren't making many available to build hype or they are selling well. For the money, on paper, it's the best you can buy so who knows.
