I have a s10 now and was looking at an upgrade to a good 5G phone,i don't want to wait for the new galaxy or OnePlus 9 as they will be dear and i would not consider one anyway.
I have looked at a lot of reviews but the main things i would like to know is.

1....Does the oneplus 8 pro have all the 5G bands or is it only the sub 6 one.
2....Have they fixed the dead pixel problem with the software update as a few reviews say about this.
3....Moderate use are they about the same on battery usage.

I do want a change off samsung but a budget of £500 to £600 and these 2 are around that now.

1. All, no. Some, yes. https://www.gsmarena.com/oneplus_8_pro-9919.php

2. No idea, and no idea if/when you'd get the update if you got a phone with the old software.

3. The OP 8+ and the OP9? No idea yet. OP 8+ and S10 5G? They have about the same battery, but the OP 8+ has a larger screen and 120Hz available, so if you push the screen, probably not as good. (You still charge or turn it off at 40% - it's still a lithium battery.)

Personally, I'd get any flagship other than a Samsung. (And I stayed with Samsung for about 13 years - since before phones had cameras.) The Samsung stock ROM leaves a lot to be desired, and Samsung "customer service" is a joke, not a department. (I'm currently with Google - Customer Service is "what can we do for you this hour?". OP isn't too bad either.)

Since Rukbat answered your questions thoroughly, I will instead add my two cents about the two devices. Both phones would be excellent choices. How do you feel about things such as camera and regular software updates? If you are a photo-taking enthusiast, OP's cameras, though good, may not be as good as Samsung's. Also, if you are a fan of timely updates, OnePlus is known to have more timely updates than Samsung. It all comes down to what you are looking for in a phone! :)

Good luck, and let us know what you decide!
