Aluminium body, sleek styling, Gorilla Glass 4, and precision manufacturing make it a superb physical object. The Snapdragon 820 and 6GB RAM make it a very impressive performer, while the price is pleasingly mid-range. :)

And with it being available without the invite system, that is more pleasing. The question is, did they already shoot themselves in the foot with the previous 2 generations?
 
A couple weeks ago I said the OnePlus 3 wouldn't have to work hard to be better than the OnePlus 2. The OnePlus 2 frankly sucked. So that was true... but they did work hard and they've put out a MUCH better (extra caps on 'much' if I remember, and maybe bold) device and still hit an excellent value proposition by keeping the costs low. I definitely do not believe this thing rivals the new generation of flagships, but it's not THAT far away and it's holding its own with last year's flagships.
