I'm looking at buying a oneplus Nord 2t which doesn't come with a SIM tray. Trays for this phone are rare and expensive, whereas trays for the Nord 2 are easy to get hold of and cheap! My question is, will a Nord 2 tray fit into a Nord 2t slot? Thanks to anyone who can help!

Oh I understand. I'm not sure on the differences TBH I know the 2 t is dual sim where the 2 is one slot . What prices have you been seen on the SIM? On eBay?
I can't find any on eBay, only one seller in the world seems to sell them and it comes to about £14. Can't even find it on AliExpress. They've had reviews saying the wrong size was sent on various things, which makes me wonder if it might end up being a listing error as well, since they don't seem to be available anywhere. Might just have to pass up on the phone to be on the safe side!

Yeah I would be very leery you would think it would be easier to find. They should have universal trays.

Buying a preowned phone that's missing a key part might be an indicator this phone could have other functional flaws. I'd suggest just looking elsewhere for a phone that just works as is. This phone already has a problem you need to take care of. If the previous owner lost or kept the SIM card tray, what other problems might be a waiting for you? Did they take the time to remove its registered Google account and you're stuck trying to bypass FRP? (hint, that's not an easy task).
Of course this is just supposition, perhaps that missing SIM tray is the only problem. But I still contend you'll be better off buying a preowned, fully functional phone than one that you have to put extra effort that might result in fully usable condition.
