oneplus one GPS not working

Hello I have bought oneplus one recently,I am in love with the phone until I realized that GPS in the phone which I received is faulty .When I use google maps for navigation ,It shows route but fail to keep me track along the route and says "GPS signal Lost".I would greatly appreciate if there is a way to fix this and oneplus one service team really sucks .

Have you tried something else like Waze or Map quest? I haven't tried the GPS tbh.

It could possibly be the area where you are, or the Google Maps application.

Try a few other applications, such as Sygic and if the GPS is still not working properly, you may need to get it replaced.

yes I did ,I tried all the possible apps and the problem is the same i couldn't get connected to GPS.I have even tried apps like GPS Status Test & Fix app too they some time show I have GPS and sometimes it keep searching for GPS forever

It is the problem with the GPS as far as I know ,I have searched in oneplus one forum there are people like me with the same issue and they still don't have the fix


but one worst thing is ,Oneplus one don't have such replacement sort of thing .

I've had no problem with my GPS. Can you show you GPS settings page under location? Mine is set to high accuracy. Have you disabled location settings via App Off/Privacy Guard to stop battery drain?

Mine was set to high accuracy itself,still i tried changing it to device only also but still that didn't help.

I just did a very quick test on mine and I lost GPS too. Not sure that's ever happened before. I had it set to Device. Maybe I'll try it again, one test doesn't show much.

i was having the same problem...i think i have a solution.

Before you go into your google maps, make sure your location is set to HIGH ACCURACY.

Can more reply regarding this? I just ordered a OPO and GPS is one of the main factors I hope to be upgrading to. The Nexus 5's GPS is pretty weak and cannot hold a strong GPS signal when in use. I would hate for the OPO to be similar...

I don't have gps issues @all. I used it maybe 7 times in my 4 months with the phone. No problems locking on, no issues with directions. The last time I used it was last week

No issues with mine. I use gps all the time. I manually turn on gps to high power before looking up or using. Also update Google maps if you have not.

The update did not fox the problem for all who experience it. My OPO has the most recent update, and had the same problem, although it's intermittent. GPS worked fine yesterday but failed altogether today, even after a reboot.

There is a fix that involves rooting and modifying a system file. It works, but doing it will create a problem accepting future updates.

This solution, [FIX] Weak GPS signal | OnePlus One | XDA Forums, works. You have to root and make the directory read/write to accept the modified gps.conf file, but once you do it (and restore your phone), the GPS should work fine. It has worked on my wife's OPO and mine.
