OnePlus One - would you still buy it today?

My Nexus 5 is getting worse and worse by the day when it comes to battery life. I have replaced the battery and factory reset but still am struggling. Plus, I'm not overly impressed with the HTC One M9 at this point, but I realize it's not on final software yet either. The Asus Zenfone 2 is also appealing, but who knows when/if it will be released in the US.

So, if you were to buy a phone today, would you still consider the OnePlus One? I know the next variant is expected in the upcoming months but curious what you think. I like the price point, especially for the 64gb of memory, but it looks like camera quality is still hit and miss.

I appreciate your thoughts!

Personally i am a little hesitant buying any phone this year because of negative news about 810 chip on flagships.. To answer your question.. Yes i think it's still worth getting it. You'll straight away notice great battery life.. I now charge my phone once in two days!

I bought the Chinese version with color is about nine months ago, (because i couldn't get an invite) and quickly'updated'it to cm11s. I ordered another one today for my partner.. If it covers your needed lte bands, I'd get it againJust have! The oneplus two date is not fixed.

I would buy it again. I wish I bought it before I ever bought the Note 4 or Note Edge. I would have saved a ton of money. I'd put my OPO up against any current flagship.

I bought mine about a month ago. I don't care what the next model brings; there's always a new model of something around the corner. The OPO has been working very well for my wife and myself; I expect we'll hang onto them for a while.

OnePlus I have used 5 month. Then change to nexus 6 :)

In my opinion, the Oneplus One is a great device. However, I have gone back to my Note 4. My reason is simple. I don't believe in Oneplus One any more. I don't think I need to explain why.

I think I would buy it again.
I'm really happy with my Opo and even though there are some competitors in the same price range now, I would have a hard time not buying it again.

How do you take full advantage of the cheapness?

In the UK a decent 4G contract is £20pm over 24 months, on to of the £270 for the phone it comes to £750

Alternatively, I can get a new S6 for free for £38pm over 24 months which comes to £912.

It doesn't seem like much more money?

Any thoughts on this?

I don't think the £38 a month S6 package is gonna include things like unlimited Internet, calls and texts like a £20 3 sim only plan. For that, it'll be nearer £55 a month I think

They are both 5gb of data

Using my OPO today. It is still a very capable device but there are other high spec low cost players coming. Zenfone 2 coming to US end of April to May. Android Central just launched a contest to give out 15 of the top line model by Easter (April 5)

Great specs! Check out the Zenfone 2 forum.

Can I also ask, who's offering the S6 for £0 on a 24 month contract @ £38 a month with 5gb data?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Its a complicated way I got to it.

On vodafone is free on £48.50pm contract, including spotify, which is £10pm... which I pay for anyway, so it ends up being £38.50pm with 7GB of data
