the Alert Slider on OnePlus phones is being replaced with a customizable button, similar to Apple's Action button. This new button will still allow users to switch between sound profiles without waking the phone. OnePlus says the change allows for more space, new layouts, and structural improvements, while maintaining the core functionality of easily silencing the phone according to OnePlus

I was hoping for more customizable options rather than AI related features. I was contemplating holding out to get my first OnePlus device because the alert slider, to me, is pointless as my phone is kept on vibrate 99.998% of the time.
