Oneplus Updates

Real close to buying a Oneplus three but not familiar with their updates to the latest. When would you expect it too get Android N? I was going to wait for the nexus but I really like the reviews I'm seeing on performance. Don't think I'd be sacrificing accept for having the latest software. If anyone has experience with oneplus, please chime in.

They will almost certainly give the OP3 N, just not clear on when that'll happen.

So far they've not been too bad, but it took them about 6 months to get the OnePlus 2 to marshmallow. Hopefully they'll be better this time (they seem to have learned much) but there is no guarantee.

If guaranteed speedy updates without using a custom ROM are what is important to you, a Nexus is the phone you want.

The OP3 has been doing very well at updates since it came out.

I went ahead and ordered one. Not a deal breaker for a delay in the update but would be nice to have it sooner than later. The performance of this phone outweighs any delay anyways.

The great thing about this phone is with an easily unlocked bootloader, if there are ROMs that take advantage of something you find to be important, it's an easy download to the phone! Unlike many other manufacturers, OP does not void your warranty if you do unlock it.
