Oneplus X is not as powerful as Oneplus One

I have used oneplusx for sometime and gave it to my sister as I felt it not as powerful as my oneplus one. Is it the oxygen OS or the hardware quality? Eve with same config oneplus one is a beast and Oneplus x is not even 10% of what oneplus one is
