Ongoing notification

Hey guys I just upgraded from an s3 to this wonderful beast. I just have a problem that's driving me crazy. For certain apps such as the one shown in the picture, sometimes it says that the app is running I'm the background. Any ideas on how to disable it?

You can add the stock Active Apps widget to a screen that lets you kill apps.

You can press and hold the home button to show what apps are currently running. Swipe left or right to close them. I do this throughout the day.

If you go to Applications in Settings you can turn off Notifications for apps (in the individual app) too if all you want is to get rid of the notification.
