Ongoing wifi notification?

I understand a fix has been discovered for this, but you have to be rooted. Any thoughts on whether Verizon will cave and simply allow folks to turn this notification off?

My thoughts: Hell no.

They tweaked the toggle and I suspect that annoying popup message that comes up when you are in range of a network is their doing too.

Even if the goal is to get people to switch over to a wifi network as much as possible, why do we need to be constantly reminded to do so even when we're not in range of one? That's what confuses me about this the most, and which also seems to make a good case for a Verizon fix; it clearly detracts from the user experience.

I was not in a rush to root but decided to just to be able to get rid of that. it was very simple to do, I had already started to set the phone up how I wanted and figured I would do it in case it wiped the phone but it didnt wipe so no worry there
