only allowed to paste?

I'm pretty sure i have an dh7. It's model number: Me173x.
Sometimes, but not aways, and i can't figure out when or how to make it happen, but sometimes when i select some text i do not have the options to cut or copy, only to paste.
This is sooo unnerving!

If you feel comfortable, install vim and avoid all problems
with unknown application.
