I just noticed this over the weekend. If I have my phone charging in the car and I get a call, it only rings one time and goes to voicemail. I tested it it and if I unplug it from charger it rings like normal. Am I missing a setting somewhere? This is so annoying when driving as it only rings 1 time. Thanks for any help!!! Verizon Edge 7

Going to be doing some travelling by car this weekend, so will try and remember to check this out on my phone. Will let you know what my phone does but probably not until Monday. I'm on US Cellular, so that might make a difference also. We'll see ...

Tried this out yesterday. My phone rang multiple times before I answered. While charging in the car. Unsure if it's a Verizon feature? Again, I'm with US Cellular. Also was not connected to car's Bluetooth at the time.

Before asking Verizon anything, might also try your phone in Safe Mode and see if something similar happens. Rule out any possible app interference. If it works OK in Safe Mode, then you need to try troubleshooting apps. Did it ever work correctly for you?

Will try that thanks. Not sure if it ever worked.. Dont laugh, I'm not in my car much so I dont get many calls while driving. Was on vacation and in the car a lot when I discovered this. I will do further testing.. THANKS!!!!

Me either. Bike to work. Could only try it because I was also on vacation and not doing the driving. Good luck!

Also if you have a way to test it when the car is moving vs not. Just in case GPS has something to do with it. Does your car by chance limit phone use?

I have an old car.. 2002 Honda CRV.. great condition only 40,000 miles...LOL told you I dont drive much.. so It doesnt have all the fancy connect the phone stuff.. My car was made before the cell phone craze..LOL

I donated a '98 Civic with 50K miles on it to NPR several years ago, so our driving habits (or lack of driving habits) are similar :-).

Got to thinking, might you be driving through a low signal area so that your phone goes to voicemail rather than a call? I know you said if you unplugged it, the call came through normally, but were you in a different location? Just trying to think of all possibilities.

Also, I have a regular S7, not the S7 Edge. So we're not exactly comparing apples to apples.

That could be. I was driving in Michigan so I am not sure what the coverage was. I will be going to Michigan again in a few weeks. I will test it out again. I appreciate all of your advice!
