Got the Wireless Teether back.

Now I'm not sure if there is anything else to do. I pretty much use the phone for Google Maps and check the internet.

Not sure if I'm missing out on something that I could be doing with it being rooted now.

Anyone have some suggestions?

Man oh man, yes! You can install custom roms, kernels to match, you can have themed roms, that blow away stock roms and you can take advantage of rooted only apps that have many functions, the skies the limit and its fun to do as you can enjoy speedier roms than stock, just read through the forums and you'll find plenty of entertaining things to do and most of all ask questions like you're doing! Good luck!

Sent from Looney Tunes Central!

I've been browsing a bit.

But like I said, I don't do anything crazy with the fun. Just browse some websites and needed the wireless teether back.

I've deleted some of the crap that they have preloaded on the phone.

I don't really care what the screen or background looks like. Don't use facebook or any of that stuff.

Sounds like you done just about everything you can do. Maybe another thing could be using MyBackup Root if you want to save anything on your phone. Text, bookmarks, or anything else like that.

If you text a bit, WiMax Notifier is a neat app for root users. ShootMe may be useful to you as well.

Just downloaded and tried flashing Evolved's Rom....

Watched smokecrawlers video on how to flash and steps...Thought I did it correctly, but then saw that I wiped all the info, instead of just the davlik cache and cache partition. Wasn't sure if that was where I went wrong or what.

I also noticed that he had installed a kernel as well. I just had the Rom flashed and went to reboot, sat on the HTC EVO 4G screen for about 10 minutes before I pulled the battery and just restored to the root with no rom.

I figured since I have the wireless teether, might as well change to a rom that has better battery life. Is there anyway to change the settings on how the phone runs without flashing to a new rom? perhaps an app?

you could try setting up some SetCPU profiles to take advantage of underclocking. You'll probably want to investigate custom kernels should you go that route.

You can just flash a custom kernel on top of your stock rom. Make sure it's a Sense Gingerbread one though.

That was my intent too, but then I found a few ROM's (1 Sense, 2 AOSP) that checked out pretty nice and I'm hooked again. Sort of.

do a ROM and kernel! makes the phone BRAND NEW, better, more storage, faster, better battery life. go for it!

Deck's AOSP rom is good. Or CM7. Try these 1st to get a new flavor (away from Sense). I love AOSP and won't go back to Sense now.
