Open Alpha? What is the minimum that you require from a paid Google Play Alpha game?

I want to upload my new game as an alpha to Google Play.

I was thinking of having an Open Alpha but also make it paid(you cannot switch from free to paid in Google Play).

What is the minimum in a game that you require from an open alpha?

My new game is a field hockey game with online gameplay.

Currently there is only online matches via client/server and IP address.

Is that enough for an alpha?

Do I also need AI single play?

I also want to have ranked matches but I am not entirely sure how to do so in mobile.
