Open app from lockscreen

Is there a way to select an app than can be opened from the lockscreen?
I recently a Ring Door Bell and would like to answer it without having to unlock the phone first.

I don't think that's possible, at least with the stock ROM. Even if you have a notification for that specific app you'll need to unlock the phone after a double tap.

@Javier P is correct, newer Android versions (Lollipop or so and newer) do not allow for lock screen applications, much less ones that bypass the security pin/passcode of the device. Consider using Smart Lock to keep the device unlocked when in certain areas, like at home.
