I have a Samsung S9fe tablet and when I try to open a pdf in a website, e.g., a restaurant menu, the screen turns gray and freezes. I have to exit the website to unlock the screen. I have a generic pdf reader installed. How do I fix this?
Welcome to Android Central! Is that PDF reader app set as the default to open PDF files? You may want to try using Google Drive's native PDF reader, in case it's a problem with that app.
The issue I find is how Android/Samsung handles PDFs. Some browsers can open the PDF without downloading, others can't.
That aside I'm inclined to give the win to Acrobat but that stupid fluid reader notice pips upmfrom time to time which needs to be dismissed before you can read or scroll.
Yes. And you can write and annotate them in Samsung Notes. Write on PDF does that too, but it's only available for tablets. It's not compatible with phones.
