Seems like a lot of people have been having this problem after the latest OTA update (Lollipop 5.1.1), but I tried the common fixes and they're still not working.

Here's a screenshot of my battery page:

I already denied wake-up privileges for Google Play Services and cLock, but now Android System and Cell Standby seem to be the main culprits. It's true that reception is spotty in my apartment but I haven't had my battery drain because of that before, and it doesn't seem like Android System can just be stopped.

My phone isn't rooted so I can't use the detailed battery stats apps. What should I do? Is it safe to disable wake up/keep awake for things like phone and internet?

I had the same problem...I had to root it and then use a CPU Tuner to under clock it...also use Greenyfly.. to hibernate apps that I don't use a lot...much better with battery life and overheating..one you root...

Most people can see an Android display quite well with the backlighting feature turned off. Move the slider all the way to the left, then try using the device that way. If you can't see it well in that setting, move the slider to the right only as far as necessary to view the display comfortably. Alternatively, Auto brightness coupled with power saving mode (found on most Samsung, LG, Sony, and some Motorola devices :cool:Brightness) will conservatively adjust the display to the surroundings to only the brightness necessary.
