Someone please let me know which is the best mode to take photos in Oppo Find X8. Somehow I'm not convinced on the photo quality. Please help.

I'm not familiar with this device, but here's what Gemini has to say.

Finding the best camera settings for your Oppo Find X8

The Oppo Find X8 series offers a versatile camera system with various modes and settings to help you capture stunning photos and videos.

Here are some tips to get the best results:

1. Master mode (for enthusiasts and natural-looking shots)

This mode offers fine-grained control over various settings, resembling a traditional camera experience.

Shoot in RAW: Enable RAW format for maximum flexibility in post-processing and editing.

Manual Control: Adjust settings like focus, ISO, exposure, and white balance to suit your specific shooting conditions.

Master mode provides a more natural look compared to the standard mode's sharper, more processed output.

2. Standard photo mode (for everyday use and vibrant colors)

This mode offers a good balance of ease of use and quality, producing images with natural colors and strong HDR.

HDR: The Find X8 Ultra excels at HDR implementation, ensuring balanced highlights and shadows in challenging lighting conditions like sunsets or mixed indoor lighting.

Color Rendering: It renders colors that are both lifelike and vivid, avoiding an oversaturated or unnatural look.

Sharpness: Images are sharp and detailed without the oversharpening artifacts sometimes seen in other flagships.

3. High-resolution mode (for maximum detail)

This mode allows you to utilize the full 50-megapixel sensor of the Find X8 series cameras, capturing the highest level of detail.

4. Night mode (for low-light conditions)

The night/low light photography mode slows the shutter speed to capture more light, providing a time frame that can be used for light painting or capturing the night sky.

Astrophotography: If you're interested in astrophotography, use Master mode, set exposure to around 25-30 seconds, ISO to 3200, manual focus to approximately 0.96m, and white balance to 3500K. Using a tripod is essential for stability.

5. Other specialized modes and features

Portrait Mode: Offers precise subject separation and a realistic bokeh effect, ideal for flattering portraits.

Macro Mode: Automatically activates when you get close to a subject, allowing for very detailed close-up shots.

Long Exposure Mode: Allows for handheld shots with a user-selected time frame (e.g., 5 seconds) to capture motion blur or smoother water effects.

Pro Video Mode: Provides manual control over settings like ISO, shutter speed, EV, autofocus, and white balance.

4K Video with Dolby Vision: The main and 3x telephoto cameras support 4K video at 120fps with Dolby Vision for impressive video quality.

Quick Button: A customizable button that can be used to quickly launch the camera, act as a shutter, zoom, or activate burst shooting.

Finding the balance

Experimenting with different modes and settings based on the lighting and your subject is key to getting the best results with your Oppo Find X8 camera.

If you want a natural and unprocessed look, stick to Master Mode and consider shooting in RAW.

For everyday photos with vibrant colors and strong HDR, the Standard Photo Mode is a great choice.

Don't forget to utilize the specialized modes like Night Mode, Portrait, Macro, and Long Exposure when needed.

By exploring these options and finding what works best for your needs, you can unlock the full potential of your Oppo Find X8 camera.
