Optical Reader !!

So guys who have seen the galaxy s4 would know that it have a very useful app called optical reader .. i digged in many videos for the note 3 videos but i couldn't find this app >.< .. Optical Reader is one of the most useful and mandatory applications you must have these days .. i really plan on getting the note 3 , it is a perfect smartphone but please can someone confirm that this app is on the note 3 .. such a powerful phablet that doesn't have this application , why ????? .. if someone have seen or heard about it being there please report on this post .....

Why would you pack every feature on every device? You need something to differentiate your product lines so you don't cannibalize your own sales. You want an optical reader, you get the S4. It's business and marketing. That's why.

There are several scanning apps that already do this or something similar on any high-end phone. CamScanner is one example.

If there's a feature on the S4 I'm pretty sure the Note 3 would have it.

Now this is a practical feature smartphone users could actually use.

It's not just some dumb gimmick to sell phones (I'm looking at you Moto X).

The Note 3 is the smartest smartphone on the market.

i don't think the S4's premium feauture is the optical reader .. and about the business and marketing this is what they do , they make every phone better than the preceding one .. which had more and better feautres : the note 2 or s3 , s4 or note 2 , note3 or s4 ????

I wouldn't go that far, I'm sure it can be useful for some people, but mandatory? I can't see a single occasion where this would have been helpful to me personally. So i could take it or leave it. Far from mandatory.

Anyways there is an APK called OCR2 in the giant list that leaked prior to the keynote. If this list is accurate then it looks like it will be included. Granted im assuming thats what OCR2 is, i could be wrong.

it is my buddy mandatory , but if you are like me living in a foreign country and translating printed texts on the go is your dream .. but i can't find this OCR2.apk in this list

another thing i found in the samsung galaxy s4 specs on the samsung site it is mentioned that it has optical reader while on the note 3 nothing is mentioned

but what gave me hope again that this list contains trip advisor which is also mentioned in the S4 specs but not in the note 3

million thanks kars .. i found the app in store for the note 2 and the s4 but both with different names , that greatly hints for the app being for the note 3 too

Don't spend to much time in foreign countries myself. But I see your point. In that situation it would definitely be a must have.
