Optical tracker sensitivity

The optical tracker on my Desire is fine when moving between screens but the sensitivity is terrible when editing text, is there a way change this ?

I have to admit I'm wondering the same thing. I dunno if I just have uneven surfaces on my thumb, but sometimes it jumps one letter and sometimes it's three, from doing what feels like the same swipe motion.

I noticed the same thing, I think it's the uneven surface of the trackpad itself.

I dont think there is a way to ajust it. I just swype a bigger part of my thumb on it when I edit text...
