My lg optimus g keeps on restarting itself. It doesn't even recognize the network. I bought the phone around 40 days ago and i started facing the problem. Now the biggest problem that i am facing is the fact that i am unable to backup my phone's data. Since it barely stays turned on for few secs, i don't get much time to backup data. I really really really need my data. Can anyone please help me to retrieve it from my phone??

Welcome to Android Central! Try powering down, then booting into the Recovery menu and wiping the cache partition (which won't erase any personal data). Follow the steps here, but instead of selecting Wipe Data/Factory Reset, make sure to select Wipe Cache Partition. When done, select Reboot System Now, and see if it works.

Perform a hardware factory reset - LG Optimus G?

Hello,
Guys i purchased LG optimus G E970 and my mobile keep restarting within 5 to 10 mins i am not playing any games or doing any heavy stuff on it but i don't know what the problem is, it is upgraded to jellybean 4.1.2 and also it heats up in this time frame please if anybody can help me on it I'll appreciate.

You don't have to be rooted. Try the link in post #2.

Dear i have tried the procedure mentioned above but no success it keeps restarting and heat up please suggest what can i do now.

You may want to consider trying a new battery, since failing batteries can cause similar problems. If you have an SD card inserted, also try unmounting the card (in Settings>Storage), removing the card and then rebooting.

Hate to revive a dead thread, but I have had a similar issue.
Replaced the battery, no dice :(

Not sure what the issue could be...

I had overheating issues when I first got my E970 (LGOG ATT). I turned on the Eco mode in Quad Core control and the only time it overheats now is if it is sitting in front of a heat vent or in the sun on a 90+ degree summer day.

I've been having the same problem. Bought a G Pro, it was reboot-looping within four months. Got it replaced with a refurbished phone and the problem started up again within three months. I've been scouring the net seeing if a battery replacement would do the trick. Haven't found anyone with a solution yet.
