SO... just got phone had it rooted and well wanted to try some rooted software...SIGH .. now phone is looping tring to boot ... i got everything i need to unbring by following step to unbrick old optimus g... just need to get the e980 firmware. I might just bring it back and have att give me another one only 2 days old but would like to do on my own. Any help would be great thanks !

I'd strongly recommend not returning it to AT&T or to LG as any warranty will be instantly useless. Can you be more specific about where the loop initiates? Is this when you're attempting to boot into the bootloader or into recovery or is it when trying to start up regularly or both?

just stuck on lg sym and light just changes color i can get into download mode and get into the file using android commander ...this all started when i downloaded chainfire 3d sigh

ok so did some test and after following direction from xda >>Having root access from recovery is a must to solve problems if you run into them (run "/system/lib/cf3d_uninstall.sh" as root to remove the driver and restore the old one)

1. boot into jb recovery mode
2. run "adb devices" - to make sure the phone drivers are ok (should output a long hex string and "device")
3. run "adb shell" from command prompt
4. in shell prompt "sh system/lib"
5. still in shell "sh /cf3d_uninstall.sh"
.....................................................................

well i figure it out lol ...

command adb devices

/system/lib/cf3d_uninstall.sh

and it booted ..

did this 50 times not sure what i did but its unbricked lol hope no1 else runs into this ...do not download for optimus g pro

The factory tot is available on XDA.

I can't find this firmware you speak of. I'm totally bricked, can get to homescreen after a factory reset from recovery, but then it reboots after 1 minute into a bootloop. A link would keep me from chucking my phone at my tv screen.

I have a similar problem that you have, but caused the probably using poor judgement. I was deleting system apps and bloatware, but I went too far and noticed I could not get my settings anymore for my phone. I did backups of all the apps on titanium back up on my SD card, but don't know how to get it back on to the phone when it will not even boot up. Where did you get the following information? Can I do the same thing?
