Optimus G Pro vs Note 3

No this totally disables is permanently. Unless you factory reset your phone, and then it will come back on, and you will have to do it all over again.

Oh yeah and one more point... the fact that I called them and they played totally dumb on the issue like they never heard of it, also pissed me off. If it is this easy to stop it, they could have said something a month ago....

Believe it or not most of the people from ATT or LG aren't even aware of this solution.

Either way.... they didn't know, or arent saying purposefully.... it doesnt speak very highly of their ability to support their customers. The fact that this 'service' is solely for the benefit of the carrier, and it DESTROYS the battery, yet was released is a shame.

Look i get it, its probably 55% AT&T faults (if not more).... but the simple fact is, its their name on the phone and thats going to give people a bad taste in their mouth. If they don't want ppl to associate this mess with them, then they need to work with AT&T to fix it.

I agree with u 100%. To be honest I think some of them do know and like u said are purposely not saying anything to us the consumers probably because they were told not to disclose any information due to it being some kind of liability. Some cell phone providers such as ATT and Verizon have agreed let this IQ Carrier be integrated into certain phone's. There's an article all about it On the internet u should google it.

I would without a doubt buy this phone again. Initially I bought it as a temporary phone until the Note 3 came out. I'm no longer interested in the Note. The only thing I like better about the Note is the USB 3.0 port. Yes this phone has USB-OTG support built in. I use it every day. I have a few cases. There is a case from Nilikin that is rather slim and has a flip cover which is also the stand. I'm very satisfied with this phone. I would have very little use for the S-pen.

How's the performance, any noticeable performance issues?

from my Note 3

It's very smooth and fast. I haven't experienced any negative performance issues. My last phone was a Galaxy S3. This is much better. I can read the screen outside in the daylight.

The only thing a don't like about this phone is the support from the Android Community. I can't find any custom ROMs, Cynagenmod doesn't support the LG Optimus G Pro. I want to be able to customize my entire phone and I can't really do that because the support for this fabulous phone just isn't there. I'm not sure if it's because it's LG or something else. Everything else about this phone is fantastic!

Check XDA. There's at least fifteen ROMs for this device. I'm running carbon. They have both stock and AOSP such as CyanogenMod. For all variations of the phone.

So guess that's just an exercise for Samsung to be the first? The percentage of people that actually have a 4k tv must be low so basically a wasted feature? Maybe im wrong but im sure the difference between HD and Ultra HD viewing on the phone probably isn't too noticeable right?

Then record in 1080p, you can't watch the 4K unless you have a $5000 TV. It also takes up a lot of storage

Yeah, and the 4K video is really shaky. I've heard recording in 4K still looks better in a PC on 1440P but who knows

I can see a difference slight difference between the 2 but i guess the full effect needs to be with a 4K TV. Never seen a 4K TV in person so not too sure what to look for. haha!

I would definitely buy the G Pro again. I was initially waiting for the N3, but this phone is a worthy alternative. A co-worker who sits next to me just bought the N3 and we can't find a big difference. We know what the spec sheet says, but we don't see a difference in normal use. I had the original Note and never used the s-pen so I don't miss that. The G Pro is an excellent phone choice.

Get the LG pro trust me there's nothing the note 3 can do that the pro can't do and right now you can get the pro free

I love this phone, I have tried a few other phones but always keep coming back to this one. I tried the N5, S4, and the HTC One. No comparison!
