Optimus One (Telus) - Custom Recovery?

I picked on of these up the other day, as far as I know they are the same as the Optimus T, the model number on mine is P500h, I don't believe that it has the wifi calling update, the software says V10g.

I have already rooted the phone using the method from the stickies in this forum, I was wondering how risky it is to try and use the custom recovery for the Optimus T on this phone, and then when it's available ThundeRom for the Optimus T.

I have already provided links to the stock system dump from my phone in this system dump thread if that helps any.
