Another solution could be GO SMS PRO free from the market. You can manually configure it, at least that's what I use on an Optimus S flashed to boost.

This tread is probably dead but i neeeeed help. I have my phone connected to QXDM and i hit "read" on 39939 it just says " NV item read " and does not display any values in the text boxes....any help would be very helpful

it might be a problem with the flash of the ROM I'm not sure what Metro PCS is (i also never really used cm7 alot either) but i can tell you that just the other day i was having problems with mms using reborn rom and a dirty flash fixed it up maybe its worth trying that or even a whole clean flash

Metro Pcs is a carrier, like att, verizon, sprint, boost mobil ect....
