Optimus Touchscreen vs Dare Touchscreen

I am about to come up on my upgrade and was wondering how the touchscreen of the Optimus compares to that of the Dare?

I ask this because my gf has a Dare and I am not a fan of the touchscreen, but figured that since her phone is a couple of years old it may be different from the Optimus.

The Dare uses a resitive touch screen. The Optimus uses a capacitive touch screen. The difference in responsiveness will be night and day.

I had a Dare before then a BlackBerry and now this phone for about 3 days.This touchscreen is far and above that of the Dare.
