Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, but I believe this is a different case..

My Optimus V was rooted with stock Froyo 2.2.1. There was no custom recovery installed. I restored in the settings, and now it's stuck on the white LG logo, always looping. I can't get into recovery by holding down power+voldown+home, and I don't think KDZ would work either since my computer doesn't recognize it. Is there anything I can do?

Thanks a lot in advance.

In the past when I've had a nasty boot loop like this, I have to pull the battery, then hold power, vol down, and home while reinserting the battery. Three hands are helpful...

The first cycle the screen turns on and turns off again, no LG logo, and then next time the LG logo cycles. This continues, I've tried both volup/down + home + power key :(

Any other ideas?

you said the pc doesn't see the phone?
you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers; maybe after that adb can talk to the ov, if so you can probably fix it.
kdz is really only useful for sprint phones since we lack firmware for the v.

I also read in another forum that a member pressed all four keys in front while power button was pushed. I can't remember if they was able to get into the recovery or allowed the phone to either boot or get into emergency mode. Either way it worked for that member. Can't lose unless you try. ;)

Did not work, unfortunately. Same problem :'(

Will do. I have the SDK installed, and typed in "adb devices" with the phone connected. The device list is empty. Is there any other way to see if adb can communicate with the device?

Open a command prompt. Navigate to where you have Android/Android-sdk/platform-tools (mine is at the root of my c:/. Enter the command: adb shell. This should let you know if the PC and phone will communicate.

Yup, it says no devices found. Any other ideas, or should I attempt contacting VM/LG? D:
