On my old Note 7 there was an option in settings to be notified if there was an app that was using a lot of battery, and you got the option to kill it. I think there were other options about automatically closing apps that were still in memory for 3 days or more.

On my new Note 7, I can no longer find these options. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Go to settings
Battery
Click the three dots in the right hand corner
Then notification settings.
If you want a option for it to automatically kill apps then click advanced settings instead of notification settings.

For some reason my screenshot won't upload.

Mine automatically tells me that I didn't have to set anything up I'll have to look into it when I get a moment

See this is the problem. If I go into Battery and press the 3 dots, the only options I get are for "Refresh" or "Optimize Battery Usage", neither of which are what I'm talking about.

Viscomi4444, is this a post-recall Note 7 you have? What carrier are you on. I've got a VZW Note 7.

Yeah.. package disabler is the culprit. I enabled everything and the option came back. Now to track down which item was actually the problem...

Glad you figured it out. Or are at least a step closer.

Yeah I don't know exactly which disabled package was causing it, but I was much more conservative about what I disabled this time around. I gave up on trying to figure out what it was one-by-one, just as long as it is working now :P
