Orange box notification , contact backup failed

All i get is this orange box in my notifications bar saying contacts back up failed something to do with the network connection failed and its really annoying and wont go any help ?

For me this was caused by some stupid Orange (EE) software that no longer works and is not supported by orange, yet still shipped and run on their Samsung S3.

The solution as always is not straight forward. Basically you can't uninstall it so you have to configure it to run manually. However it won't work the first time you use it if you are on a wifi network. (I guess it needs the orange gprs network to know you are with orange or something like that!)

So, disable wife, go to apps and start the backup app up. Once running go into settings and change it to run manually, now exit. Then go to settings -> applications -> running and force stop the backup application. Hopefully you won't get that message any more..
